Lymari obtained her BFA with a major in Graphic Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. She has worked as a graphic designer, art educator and as an artist.

 

Her work focuses on the human condition, often in the gender of portraiture as a foundation. Not attempting accurate depiction but instead uses, shapes, colors forms, and gestural marks. Her work is spontaneous and honest. The paintings start with a mark or shapes that eventually suggest some human features or emotion.

 

Her medium of choice is painting but she is actively experimenting with techniques, media, and content.
